Review: Straight to Heaven & Giveaway!

 Title: Straight to Heaven
Author: Michelle Scott

Goodreads Synopsis:
Hell’s newest employee, Lilith Straight, thinks she’s got a handle on her job as the Devil’s temptress until she finds herself going horns-to-halo with a guardian angel who’s determined to rescue Lilith’s next victim. To make matters worse, William Darcy, the hottest demon in hell, is trying to undermine Lilith’s mission with a few temptations of his own.

So let's start with the most important part of the book in my opinion : The cover!
Don't you just love it? I absolutely do! One of the main attractions to this book actually, it reminded me of a similar picture I'd drawn two years ago because I was suspecting I had an Angel/Devil complex, so this was really cool!

As to the actual book, I don't make a habit of reading a book when it's in a series if the series isn't complete. Just as I don't make a habit of watching a TV series unless it's a few seasons in. Why? I am abysmally impatient.
I started this book with so many expectations after being done with Straight to Hell, I even started it right away since I was excited to know what happens next!

Lilith's life, as hectic as ever commences in a more relaxing manner than the first book, though that doesn't mean it doesn't quickly turn into absolute chaos. More drama, and more trouble. I know it's weird, but for some reason Ariel is the most character that caught my attention this time around. Trying to portray such a complicated character as hers was actually quite interesting. Personally, I wouldn't have known how to do it myself, and loved how Michelle managed it.

As per the first book, the references to God made me bristle. That, and, come on, bets? Really? But again I let it slide and got back into the mood of the story fast enough.
I was sad I didn't get to see much of Jas, or Tommy and expected a better way for Lilith to make up with both of them, but this was good enough I guess. In my opinion though, there wasn't enough batter between Lil and William, I love their chemistry and their moments together, I hope in the next book there would be more of that!

The storyline was equally as good, upping the stakes and as intriguing as the first book. I love it and can't wait till the last book is out. I actually felt terrible when the book ended, all I could think of was 'nooooo! this sucks, I want some more!'

I seriously can't wait for the last book to get out!

Ratin: 5/5
